Additional details were released this morning for the Paul McCartney concert in Lubbock.

McCartney's June 14th concert at the United Spirit Arena will kickoff his "Out There" tour for 2014. The concert was scheduled at the behest of McCartney, who reached out to city officials.

McCartney's concert will be his first ever appearance in Lubbock. He, and the other members of The Beatles, were influenced by the music of Lubbock's native son, Buddy Holly.

There have been numerous positive reviews written about McCartney's "Out There" tour, including one from the Austin American Statesman: “Two songs into the first of two shows at the Erwin Center, Paul McCartney announced, ‘we are going to have a party here tonight.’ For three hours on Wednesday night, McCartney fueled that party with a mix of hits from his days with the Beatles and his later career with Wings, showing off his skill as a writer of both simple, poignant ballads and more complex rock pieces… left the crowd alternating between singalong and awe… a big, joyous trip.”

Tickets for the Paul McCartney concert will be put on sale in two different waves.  General public tickets sales will begin April 25 at 10am at all Select-A-Seat outlets.  American Express® Card Members will be able to purchase advance tickets before the general public starting Monday, April 21 at 10am and ending Thursday, April 24 at 10pm.

The concert's ticket prices will be $59.50, $89.50, $165 and $250, plus Select-A-Seat service charges.
