On this Willie Nelson Wednesday, we'll take a look and listen to a Christmas classic that was written by the red headed stranger.

The song "Pretty Paper" was written by Willie back in the early 60's. At the time, Nelson was a member of country music legend Ray Price's band.

When Willie wrote this song, he had also penned some other songs that would become standards; "Funny How Time Slips Away" and "Hello Walls", a song that would be a huge hit for Faron Young.

"Pretty Paper" became a hit for another fellow Texan, Roy Orbison. His version peaked at Number Six on the chart in December of 1964.
