This year is the Upward Bound Parent Council's first golf tournament to raise money to help out a great group of kids and you can sign up to have a good time golfing for an awesome cause!

Upward Bound is program at Texas Tech University that helps to create opportunities for 1st generation, college-bound students. In additions to providing academic opportunities, Upward Bound helps these students learn and grow as individuals.

As an Upward Bound Alumni, I can personally vouch for this program and assure everyone reading this that the parent council is an essential part of providing scholarships for the students upon their graduation.

That's why The Upward Bound Parent Council is starting their FIRST EVER golf tournament at Reese Golf Center. The parents are hold the event to raise money for scholarships to grant exclusively to this hard-working bunch of kids.

Also, as a thank you to you loyal Blake Blog Readers, I am giving you a head's up on our on-air giveaway tomorrow (Friday, July 20th) morning! Along with Gene Messer Volkswagen, Quick Quack Car Wash is sponsoring this event and I will be giving away FREE CAR WASHES tomorrow! Listen in from 6:00am-Noon for your chance to win!

The tournament details are below and I encourage you to tell everyone you know about this great cause! These students are from here, trying to attend college here, and working to make great things happen in the future!
