Elizabeth Smart's abduction is one of the most notably followed abduction cases in history.

She was just 14 years old when she was taken at knife point from her home in Salt Lake City. Fortunately, a tip from the public led the police to her captors, Brian Mitchell and his wife, 9 months after she was abducted.

Since then, she bravely stood up and testified against her captors and has been speaking publicly as advocate for change related to child abduction, recovery programs and National legislation.

Elizabeth Smart is coming to Lubbock to speak on Monday, September 24th and speaking in the Banquet Hall at the Civic Center benefiting the Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains.
