You've been hearing a lot about this from me here recently, but if you're just now hearing about it for the first time: Walk 27 is a WORLD MOVEMENT that is taking place tomorrow morning at 8:30am CT. People everywhere will be walking one minute for every victim that lost their life Friday morning in Newtown, CT.

We just caught wind of this movement about a day and a half ago and with it being so short notice and finals at the end of the semester and jobs, we realized it would make it difficult for people to participate at that EXACT moment. So a co-worker of mine, Amy Parker, and I set out to find a way to honor their lives by Walking 27 with anyone that would be willing to set aside the time.

In comes Coach Kent Jackson from Coronado High School-

Amy emailed him and he graciously and very eagerly replied that he'd love to be apart of this.

So this morning at 8:30am, we bared the cold and walked together to remember the 27 who lost their lives. It was very emotional, but I am thankful to be able to pay my respects to these families in a very symbolic way.

I would also like to add that the students Coach Kent is in charge of are some of the VERY MOST respectful group of kids I've ever met. I was extremely impressed and in awe of the respect these guys had for myself and for the cause we were walking for. Thank you!
