It was on this day, March 13, 1999 that Trisha Yearwood became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. In fact it happened at the original home of the Opry, the Ryman Auditorium and Ricky Scaggs did the honors.

Her first album came album came out in 1991 and the first four songs off the album went straight to the Top 10. She also was the opening act for Garth Brooks, gaining her huge exposure.

This being a "two for Tuesday" one of my favorite two songs by Yearwood came from that first album. It's called "She's In Love With The Boy".

The other came from the soundtrack of the movie "Con Air". The song is "How Do I Live". It was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song went to Number Two on the country chart. It just a great song.

Trisha Yearwood still has one of the best voices in any genre of music. Check out the songs and enjoy.
