I wondering what took so long, but the Oak Ridge Boys are finally taking their spot on the Grand Ole Opry.

The original group was formed back in the years during World War II. The were on top of the gospel music world.

The in the early 70's the current lineup was formed featuring Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, Joe Bonsall and Richard Sterban.

They exploded on the country music scene in 1977 with the release of their album "Ya'll Come Back Saloon."

They have won the award for best country group from both the ACM and CMA.

They has recorded numerous number one songs including the song "Elvira," which earned the Oaks a Grammy in 1982. It went number one on the country charts and number five on the pop charts.

In fact the Oaks are releasing a album called "It's Only Natural" September 19th through Cracker Barrel stores.

The CD celebrates the thirtieth year of the song "Elvira."

Are you ready, everybody sing.."oom poppa mow mow!"
