It was a night for some long deserving back up bands at last nights induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. James Brown's "The Famous Flames," Bill Haley's "The Comet's," and Buddy Holly's "The Cricket's." The Lubbock born band, "The Crickets," were unable to attend the induction due to health issues. Congratulations to our hometown boys Jerry Allison, Joe B. Mauldin, and Sonny Curtis for putting the Rock into Rock and Roll. Also inducted were members of "The Blue Caps," "The Midnighters," and Smokey Robinson's "Miracles." Because of a health issue, Mauldin, Curtis and Allison chose to not attend.
