Despite all the excitement surrounding football games, it's really not all about winning the next one. But from what's on their agenda, Texas Tech football players think it's about being contributors to the community. Next Monday, November 7, the Red Raider football team will be helping out High Point Village, a local non-profit for children with special needs program. On their website, Tech backup quarterback Jacob Karam called the event a privilege. "It is such an honor to have a chance to get to know these deserving kids." That afternoon, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Karam, and some of his teammates will be teaching football drills and other sports-related activities to kids affected by special needs such as Autism and Down Syndrome. High Point Village is located at 10911 Slide Road. For more information check out their website, or contact Michelle at 806-698-0015.
