October 9, 2012 Your Texas Tech Red Raiders are taking on the West Virginia Mountaineers this Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium for Homecoming 2012!
One of the annual events that take place at Texas Tech University is the Arbor Day celebration and this year is no different. It's planned for Friday at Memorial Circle on campus starting at 11 a.m. with free food, live music and of course in the early afternoon, the tree-planting in honor of Arbor Day.
A Texas Tech University student, senior geophysics major from Austin, Jeffrey Poole, is a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army; and he is coordinating a special event throughout the month of April for the Texas Tech Veterans Association. It's "Cell Phones for Soldiers", a non-profit campaign collecting old, used and even broken phones which are sold to refurbishing companies.
Here's your chance to feel better about yourself! February 27 through March 2 is the "Feed Your Body and Soul Week" at Texas Tech University. There will be a series of events aimed at raising awareness on improving your lifestyle and eating habits.
This weekend marks the 53rd Carol of Lights at Texas Tech University, sponsored by a Tech student organization,The Residence Halls Association. The annual outdoor ceremony is set for Saturday night, Dec. 3rd, beginning with the carillon concert at 6:30.

Just before the game Saturday there's a big celebration going on in honor of Texas Tech's Masked Rider. Nearly half of Texas Tech's former riders will be present for the event slated for 4 p.m. in Frazier Alumni Pavilion across from Jones AT & T Stadium.
There will be graduation ceremonies held for more than 1,400 Texas Tech University students this weekend. The events are set to start Saturday morning at the United Spirit Arena.
