This Sunday Mark Cuban's television network AXS TV (formerly HD Net) will be harnessing the growing popularity of the Texas and Red Dirt Music scenes, as they broadcast the first ever "Red Dirt on the Rocks" concert featuring Randy Rogers Band, Casey Donahew Band, Stoney LaRue and Wade Bowen.

Not only did Donahew offer insight to the songs, I'm pretty sure aside from "Whiskey Baby," we were the first place on radio you got to hear these album cuts including: "Homecoming Queen," "Put the Bottle Down," "Loser," and "Go to Hell." We asked our listeners and fans to vote on what they thought was the best TX/Red Dirt song of the year and vote they did. For a week straight voters sounded off and made it a close race between the Casey Donahew Band and the Randy Rogers Band. The votes were tallied and 99.5 The Bear is proud to announce that the Casey Donahew Band's "Breaks My Heart" was voted song of the year.
