It's been five years since he had a country album; and now,the legendary Ronnie Milsap is returning to country music with a new CD called "Country Again". Milsap, who has had forty...count 'em...40! number one hits gained popularity with thousands of fans in the 1970's and 80's with such hits as "Stranger in this House" and "Smoky Mountain Rain". Both good examples of how Milsap's music has crossed over into other music genres like rock and roll and pop.

Milsap's past is intriguing. His mother abandoned him and he was raised by grandparents and excelled in music, forming bands in high school. He was influence by Elvis, among others. In fact Milsap was a session musician for Elvis' "Kentucky Rain" and "Don't Cry,Daddy". Ronnie Milsap continues to tour and you can expect his new album by the end of July. He'll appear on the Grand Ole Opry stage on July 16th.
Here's one of favorite Ronnie Milsap songs.
