Heeeeeeere's Johnny. Late night TV viewers heard Ed McMahon bring on the star of the Tonight Show, Johnny Carson , that way for from 1962 to 1992. It was on this day, Januarey 23rd, 2005, that Johnny Carson passed away at the age of 79.

He was the best. His Tonight Show would alway feature the top stars of the day from music, broadway and hollywood. He set the standard for all talk show hosts, from Jay Leno to David Letterman.

What I liked about the Tonight Show were the characters the Carson would play. There was Art Fern the host of the Tea Time Movie and my favorite Carnac The Magnificent.

Carson also introduced us the new up and coming comedians like Steve Martin and Ellen DeGeneres.
