Red Raider Soccer Rocks The Rockets

After a loss to Hofstra, the Texas Tech soccer team came back on Sunday afternoon and closed out the Red Raider Classic at John Walker Soccer Complex with a 3-0 win over Toledo.

I went out to see the match because my hometown is Toledo, but I was certainly for the Red Raiders because this is where I live.

Tech had 12 shots on goal, Toledo 4. Tech's Dawn Ward kicked in two goals and Sarah Ellison had the other one.

The win improved Tech to 4 and 3 so far this season.

I've never been one for soccer, but when you go out and watch it in person, it's much more exciting. It was a great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon, and close to 1000 fans thought the same thing.
