I think we all remember seeing this  stuff called "pink slime" being used by McDonald"s in their food. Well, it hasn't gone away and now the USDA is trying to defend their use of it.

Pink slime is known as "lean finely textured beef" and the company that sells it, "Beef Products Inc. (BPI), says it's safe.

USDA intend to buy some 7 million pounds of it for use in school lunches and said it's safe. Critics say otherwise.

Meanwhile, McDonald's, Taco Bell and Burger King said earlier that they are discontinuing the use of the product in their food.

Will this make you think twice about purchasing that hamburger meat at the store?. Will you ask before you buy?.
