Well, if you're looking for a good spook to really get you into the Halloween mood, I will HIGHLY recommend making a trip out to Nightmare on 19th Street! I went this past weekend and it was AWESOME!

<CAUTION: The photos inside include characters from Nightmare IN COSTUME. Photos may be too gory for some folks so don't say I didn't worn ya!> (it's all fake blood, though!)

For two weeks, now, Blake and I have been giving away wristbands to this year's Nightmare on 19th Street and on Friday night, I decided that it was my turn to go and really get into the Halloween spirit.

It was freezing cold! So, if I can give you any advice to prepare it would be to bundle up. You wait in line outside of the haunted houses and one of them, Skullick, Texas, is an entire city of a haunted house OUTSIDE and let me tell you, it looks awesome. The working crew did a great job on the houses!

The houses I went through were: Dr. Nexum's Sanitarium, Blood Moon Manor, Skullick Texas, and City of the Lost. Come to the gate prepared because they can't contain all the monsters in their haunted houses....a few manage to get out and pay you a visit while you're waiting in line!

I have been going to Nightmare every year since it opened and every year they manage to top the previous year!  If Halloween is your thing, then you need to visit Nightmare before it's too late!

Nightmare is open every Thursday in October from 7:30pm-11:00pm and every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7:00-11:00pm. Of course, they are also open on Halloween night from 7:30-11:00.
