Considered one of the best stage musicals ever is Lerner and Loewe's "Camelot", which you can see in Lubbock this weekend. I know it's one of my favorites and evidently several generations agree as it's original premiere was over 50 years ago, in 1960, and is still a favorite today.

The story, taken from the tale of King Arthur, adds a illicit romance between the Queen and one of the knights and great music and ta-da--a great musical stage production! Moonlight Musicals is presenting this favored love triangle at the Civic Center Banquet hall as dinner theatre this weekend.

There are performances set for Friday and Saturday nights with dinner and a brunch is served with a matinee performance on Saturday. Tickets are available through selectaseat.

Critics did not like the 1967 movie made of the musical nearly as much as they adored the stage version. I loved Richard Harris in the film and will never forget him singing on of those fabulous memorable songs. Here's one you'll hear Friday or Saturday.
