Lamar Vs Tech..Not!

Now that former Tech coach Pat Knight is the head coach at Lamar, the question that came to mind was, will Knight schedule the Red Raiders? According to a story in the Avalanche Journal probably not. Knight said "That'd be too much attention on me, playing my old team. It would be a distraction and wouldn't be fair to the teams."
The Red Raiders have played Lamar three of the past four seasons.
But why not play Tech. Imagine the buzz it would create. I'm almost sure ESPN would be there. The crowd would show up and think of the dollars at the gate. Just sayin.
One thing we can count on this year, Tech coach Gillispie facing his old team, the Aggies, when they come calling. Not only that, the Lady Raiders, with team they have coming back, will looking forward to knocking off the National champs, Texas A&M when they roll into Lubbock.
I got a feeling the United Spirit Arena will be a rockin place this basketall season. BE THERE!
