Jason Aldean is undoubtedly the hottest artist in country music today. His albums have gone platinum. In fact his latest album "My Kind Of Party" has sold well over two million copies.

Aldean's May 19th concert in Atlanta is already sold out. The response was so great that a second show as added on May 18th and that sold out in just a few hours. But things weren't always this way.

While in Nashville in the late 90's and with a record deals falling through, he was just about to hang it up when a representative of Broken Bow Records caught up with him, signed Aldean to a contract and in 2005 his frist album was released. It was called simple Jason Aldean.

The lead single off that album was "Hicktown". That would set the stage for what was to come.

On a "first hit Monday" Jason Aldean.
