This past weekend music fans everywhere celebrated Johnny Cash's birthday. Today, Tuesday, March 1st, is another special day concerning Johnny Cash. It's the day he married June Carter in 1968. It would be Johnny's second marriage and June's third. As the story goes, Johnny proposed to June during a live performance at the London Arena in London Ontario. Just a year earlier in 1967, they won a Grammy award for "Best Country and Western Performance, Duet, Trio or Group for their version of the song "Jackson".

They were married for 35 years. June passed away May 15, 2003 and Johnny passed soon after,September 12, 2003.
