Wondering where your child can safely trick or treat? Throughout the week there are a number of events being offered along with school and church carnivals that are appropriate for kids of all ages. The "Greek Treat" is Thursday 4-6 p.m. at Greek Circle. Parents can take children for face painting, treats and bean bag toss. The Ranching Heritage Center is have a "Harvest Festival" Friday, 4-7 p.m. where unique period-correct treats will be handed out. The "Dio de los Muertos" procession is 5:30-9:30 p.m. Friday with traditional snacks served at the International Cultural Center at 5:30 and School of Art at 6:30, then continuing to the Underwood Center at 511 Ave K and ending at the Buddy Holly Center at 18th and Crickets Ave.

The "Cowboys and Pirates Carnival" is Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Matador Room of the Student Union Building with trick or treating and entertainment. The Residence Halls Safe Treat is next Monday, October 31 in any of Texas Tech's residents halls from 6-8 p.m. And finally in Lubbock at the Boys and Girls Club at 3221 59th from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday you can go through the family-friendly "Spook House". It's $5 per person with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lubbock.
