One of the top movies of all times is "Field of Dreams" starring Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones. Set designers built a beautiful baseball field right in the middle of a cornfield in eastern Iowa. And now, that site has been sold. But, this is good news. The owners of the property which lies near Dyersville, Iowa, Don and Becky Lansing, have accepted an offer from Go the Distance Baseball LLC (Mike and Denise Stillman) that would preserve the site and develop a baseball and softball complex. A price of $5.4 million was set on the land in May of 2010 but it's not disclosed what the settlement was.

Also included is the two bedroom house, baseball diamond, six other buildings and 193 acres. The main objective of the Lansings was to preserve the property that we viewed in the classic film and they are excited to have found a buyer that would save its legacy. Here's a scene from that movie that you don't have to be a baseball fan to love.
