I am one of the many legions of Alan Jackson fans out there and one of my favorite music genres that he does is gospel. His album, "Precious Memories" from 2006, has been such a success he's releasing it again. He tells The Boot, "When I was at Sony...we did a co-deal together where it was on half my label and half theirs. I ended up with the rights to the album, basically. So when the deal ran out, they didn't produce any more records, so you couldn't buy any more. And we just had so many people still wanting it, it's just amazing. That thing just sold and sold.

So when I got over here (at Capitol EMI) we decided that we'd put it back out." And he adds that he'd like to do another gospel album just for his mom. "...I'd still like to do another version of that for her, and especially my wife's mama. She's older than my mother but she gets around better, and she loves that thing. And they would love to have another version with some more new songs, so I need to do that."

And A.J.'s fans will hold him to his word, right? I'd love to hear more gospel songs like this. He's the best!
