Early Christmas Shoppers Check Out Saturday’s Extravaganza

When you realize how close we are to Christmas, you'll probably be glad you started early. One site offers five great tips for early shoppers which, unfortunately some apply as early as the first of the year. But nonetheless still some good tips:

1. Make a budget early in the year

2. Create a Master List with amount you want to spend

3. Make homemade gifts to save money

4. Hit the sales each month

5. Wrap gifts as you buy them; don't forget to update the Master List as you wrap.

If you are still buying, or even need to start, check out the items this Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5 at Community Christian Church, 3417 96th Street. It's free admission with over 200 gift baskets, a quilt raffle, bake sale and antiques. Proceeds will benefit Lubbock Meals on Wheels, Family Promise, and Simple Acts Prison Ministry. Hours are Friday, 10 a.m.-2p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-
2 p.m.
