"Wally..Wally". You could not have written a better movie script for what happened on the court at the United Spirit Arena Wednesday night. Tech senior Wally Dunn got his first start on senior night and did he make the most of it. Dunn hit for 15 points and was 3 for 4 from 3 point land in the Red Raiders 84 to 58 win over Oklahoma. Wally is a walk on from Midland and seldom gets to play, but when he does he brings a lot of energy to the team.

Wally is a fan favorite, and they chanted his name throughout the night. On one play, Wally went for a layup and got blocked. Tech's Brad Reese grabbed the rebound and found Wally opened in the corner. Dunn shoots again. He misses, but followed up his shot and passed to a teammate at the top of the key. That teammate then found Wally open again on the other side of the court, where he put up a 3 and it was nothing but net.

It was probably the best hustle play I've ever seen. When coach Knight took him out of the game with a little over a minute to go, the entire crowd was chanting his name again and gave him a standing ovation.

I'll always remember this game as the game a walk on got his chance to play and got it "Dunn".
