Dierks Bentley, Willie Nelson, the Civil Wars and Rosanne Cash are all set to perform at the second annual Johnny Cash Music Festival. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, Oct. 5 in the Man in Black’s home state of Arkansas.

John Carter Cash, the Man in Black’s son, spoke about the lineup and what each person who is scheduled to perform means to his father’s legacy. At the press conference, he said, “Rosanne will be there to represent the family. And Willie Nelson was a dear, dear friend of my father and is very close to our family. He will do a great job along with Dierks Bentley and the Civil Wars. It is a blessing to be back and see the dream continue to become a reality.”

Rosanne Cash was too ill to travel to attend the press conference, but she will be on hand at the big event.

The second Johnny Cash Music Festival will be held at Arkansas State University’s Convocation Center. Want more info? Go here.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the restoration of Cash’s boyhood home, which is located in Dyess, Ark. and is pretty much an American cultural landmark. Approximately $1.4 million has been raised so far for the restoration. This year would have marked Cash’s 80th birthday. He passed away in 2003.
