Cuts For The Cure To Fight Breast Cancer

In their continuing fight against breast cancer, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Lubbock is encouraging again this year local hair salons to partake in the "Cuts for the Cure".

This is the fifth year for the event. Salon in Lubbock this week will donate a percentage of proceeds or tips to benefit Komen Lubbock.

More than $3.7 million has for Komen Lubbock since 1995. In fact, the Lubbock office has granted over 2.3 million to organizations here in Lubbock who provide education for early detection and support for screening and diagnostic programs.

Every three minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer.
