CNN Founder Ted Turner Helps Out Gorillas in a Million Ways!

Millionaire media mogul Ted Turner has come out in major support of saving gorillas. He has donated a million dollars to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. The fund helps save endangered gorillas in the eastern Congo. Dian Fossey was an American naturalist who spent 13 years working against poachers and for the betterment of gorillas in Rwanda. Her violent murder in 1985 remains unsolved.

Turner told CNN, "We may live on the opposite side of the planet from Africa, but what happens there can and will affect what happens here, and all around our fragile planet...The subspecies has received little protection and their numbers are plummeting". Turner urges others to donate money to the cause.
