With Christmas right around the corner I am sure that you are looking for exciting Christmas activities to do with your family! After searching every Christmas Holiday event in Lubbock, here is a list of 10 events I think you would enjoy!
The Polar Express Train Ride
Bringing the beloved children's story to life - take your family on a magical train ride aboard the Polar Express!
The train runs throughout the month of December!
SkyView Helicopters Christmas Tour
How awesome would it be to load the family up in a SkyView Helicopter and take a tour of Lubbock! You can take a small 30 minute tour or a large 60 minute tour!
Tours start at $139 + tax per person and are being booked throughout the month of December.
Kingsgate North & South Carriage Rides
Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday at Kingsgate Shopping Center North and South at 82nd & Quaker you can take the family on a complimentary carriage ride.
Fridays: 6 – 8 p.m.
Saturdays: 2 – 8 p.m.
Sundays: 1 – 5 p.m.
Monday, Dec 23rd 6 – 8 p.m.
Christmas Eve: 1 – 4 p.m.Santa & Mrs. Claus will also be on hand each Saturday until Christmas from 2p-5p
Market Street Presents - Ballet Lubbock's The Nutcracker
I'm fairly certain that it goes against all Christmas traditions to not see The Nutcracker - and thank goodness that Ballet Lubbock provides us all the opportunity every year to see The Nutcracker live!
The Nutcracker will be performed live by Ballet Lubbock at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center: Friday, Dec 13th at 7pm; Saturday, Dec 14th at 2pm & 7pm; Sunday, Dec 15th at 2pm.
Vintage Township - Winter Wonderland Evening Home Tour
On December 15th from 1pm - 9pm join Vintage Township for their annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show and then from 5pm until 9pm take a tour of the beautiful Christmas Homes at Vintage Township.
The Village Shopping Center - Santa In The Village
December 14th and 21st grab the kids and head to The Village Shopping Center at 82nd and Quaker for Santa in The Village! Childress Photography will be on site to take pictures for you to immediately take with you!
Santa will be there from 10am until 5:30pm on both Saturday's!
Santa at The South Plains Mall
Of course Santa will be at the mall to chat with the children and see who's been naughty or nice!
Weekdays from 10am - 8pm
Saturdays from 10am - 9pm
Sundays & Christmas Eve from 10am - 6pm
Santa Land - Mackenzie Park
For the last 57 years, Lubbock Parks and Recreations has brought Santa Land to Mackenzie Park for all of the young and old children of Lubbock! With live entertainment (most nights), Hot Chocolate and a festive holiday village - grab the family and your camera and enjoy the beautiful display absolutely free!
Santa Land will be open every evening from 6pm - 10pm through Dec. 23rd.
The Light Before Christmas - The Science Spectrum
As stated in the description on the Science Spectrum's website - "The Light Before Christmas is the delightful tale of young Katie and her brother Makean, who, after losing their way in a Christmas eve blizzard, are rescued by the Candleman, a wise, gentle man who invites them to his warm and cozy forest cottage and sparks their imagination with the timeless poem, The Night Before Christmas."
The Light Before Christmas will run through December 26th at various times.
Lubbock Community Theater - Twas' The Night Before Christmas
The youth of the Lubbock Community Theater will perform a production of Twas The Night Before Christmas but it's a little different than the "original poem"!
The production will take place December 13th at 7:30pm, December 14th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and December 15th at 2:00pm at The Lubbock Community Theater.
