Coming up this week is the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women luncheon to learn more about heart disease and it's prevention. About 400 women, all wearing red, usually show up for this event which is targeted to women because more women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined.
The Pink Slime fallout is hitting closer to home than we thought. BPI, a long standing meat packer in Amarillo has produced over 200,000 pounds a DAY of the product. Beef Products Incorporated has closed 3 of its 4 plants and in Amarillo, that meant 200 lost jobs
