Carrie Underwood Is Rooting For The Next American Idol To Be a Lady!

Season 12 of American Idol is taking over Fox as we speak! Former Idol Winner, Carrie Underwood, has been tuning in to cheer for new Country coach, Keith Urban, but also to root for another LADY American Idol to win!

Carrie Underwood won American Idol Season 4 back in 2005 and, to date, is ONE of only FOUR lovely ladies to ever win American Idol. The complete list of female winners include: Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, and Jordin Sparks.

So this new season of Idol, she is especially counting on ‘Lady Luck’ that another female will be crowned the next America Idol!

 “I'm always excited to watch the show and definitely will throw in some votes of my own. I would like to see another female take it home, I think it's time. You never know who or why people vote a certain way," Carrie recently told a group of journalists in Nashville. "The way the voting goes has a lot to do with the audience watching the show. I don't know how I pulled off a win the year I was on. That year, they said a guy was gonna win and they were wrong, fortunately.”
