Billy Ray Cyrus Signs Record Deal On This Day In 1991 [VIDEO]

He became an overnight success in the early 90′s. Billy Ray Cyrus continues to experience success today.

 

Cyrus with the help of country music legend Del Reeves, signed a record deal with Mercury Records in 1991. His first album was called “Some Gave All”.

With the help off that album and of course his good looks, Cyrus shoot to stardom.

The song was “Achy, Breaky Heart”. It stay on top of the charts for five weeks. The song made the album a huge success, selling over nine million copies.

Cyrus’ daughter Miley also became a star in her own right starring as
“Hannah Montana”. Billy starred with his daughter in that show on the Disney Channel.
