This weekend marks the 53rd Carol of Lights at Texas Tech University, sponsored by a Tech student organization, the  Residence Halls Association. The annual outdoor ceremony is set for Saturday night, Dec. 3rd, beginning with the carillon concert at 6:30. If you've never been you really should because it's as much a part of Texas Tech tradition as Tech football, basketball or even the Masked Rider. Plus, it pushes you into the Christmas spirit, and it's FREE! What happens is that more than 25,000 red, orange and white lights that outline buildings on Tech campus are turned on at the same time. In addition, there's Christmas music and a candlelight parade all happening from the east Main entrance to campus to the Science Quadrangle at Memorial Circle. Take the family and enjoy! Here's an excellent video with more information.
