A Willie Nelson Wednesday [VIDEO]

It's Wednesday and last week it was a Waylon Wednesday, featuring Waylon Jennings. Today Willie Nelson will be featured. Why?, because today he just happened to have a Number One song on this day.

Willie wasn"t alone on this song. He sang it with Merle Haggard. Both are great singers and songwriters in their own right.

They were both riding high on the charts when they recorded this duet. In 1982, Nelson had a Number One hit with the Elvis tune, "Always On My Mind".

Haggard was on the top of the charts at about the same time with "My Favorite Memory" and "Big City".

In 1983, Willie and Merle got together and recorded "Pancho and Lefty". It went to Number One.
